Event Highlights:
18 holes of scramble golf with shotgun start at 1pm. Registration begins at 11:30 am and lunch is provided. An Awards Ceremony will be held immediately after the tournament.

Why:
Net proceeds will support Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) typing and testing necessary for donor marrow or adult stem cells. Lab fees are currently $52.00 per donor. Only 30% of all patients in need of a transplant actually find a matched donor within their families. Currently, more than 300 children and adults receive marrow or stem cell transplants each month. Each day approximately 6,000 patients search the registry for their miracle match.
Results:
Locally, more than 120,000 persons from the Central and South Texas regions have been registered onto the National Registry. Since 1991, over 350 local donors have donated their marrow or adult stem cells to patients awaiting transplant. In 2006, 55-matched donations were successfully completed.
